Selamawit Yehdego is an Ethiopian-American who joined the African Coalition in November 2013.  Since then, she has been an active participant in most of the activities the Coalition does to promote mental health.  Selamawit serves as an Immigration Services Specialist, providing case management and rehabilitation services.  She is also a member of the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship in Los Angeles, where she teaches Sunday school to elementary school students. Selamawit holds a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Selamawit speaks Amharic and Tigrigna and can also speak, read, and write in Greek.
