African Coalition was proud to stand in support of migrant rights at a recent event hosted by Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE), which honored individuals making powerful contributions to the fight for justice and dignity for migrants.
Our team attended in solidarity with Pastor Maria, who opened her church to house 20 Mauritanian migrants in need of shelter and safety. Her courageous and compassionate act was a powerful reminder of the critical role faith communities play in the struggle for human rights.
Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to connect with several dedicated clergy members and allies of CLUE. These conversations deepened our collective commitment to immigrant justice and opened doors for future collaboration and community action. We are inspired by the shared vision of justice and equity, and we look forward to continuing this vital work alongside partners like CLUE and the many brave individuals fighting for the rights and dignity of all migrants.
