The African Coalition proudly hosted a lively breakfast for the African Union delegates at City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. As we prepared for the official Summit scheduled for February 22nd, the ceremony served as a warm welcome for all attendees. The primary objective was to cultivate strong relationships among community members and our partners who share our mission. At the summit, delegates Dr. Olubusayo Akinola and Ms. Angela Martins took center stage to receive an honorary placard, symbolizing the initiation of a new relationship and acknowledging ongoing efforts to promote international collaboration and unity. The Los Angeles Times was in attendance to capture this significant moment through photographs, thereby documenting the event’s importance. The breakfast featured a diverse array of ethnic dishes from various African countries, including Moroccan pancakes, Ethiopian injera, and samosas, highlighting the rich cultural heritage represented at the summit. This gathering exemplified a concerted effort to connect with the diaspora.
