Isabel Shawel
Operations Director

Isabel Shawel is a community advocate with 6 years of experience in mental health and public health promotion for marginalized community members within the Los Angeles community including those that are houseless, formerly incarcerated, LGBTQ, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has worked collaboratively with health providers including clinicians within the behavioral health, medical, HIV/Hep-C, and health insurance/benefits departments, and has also collaborated with external community and county-based agencies, such as DMH HOME, SB82 and FSP units in linking community members to critical mental health services and resources. Isabel is passionate about culturally compassionate care and is currently working on her MSW at California State University Dominguez Hills, focusing on critical race theory and community trauma resilience.
